UNION COUNTY – The 2024 Union County Fair Junior Livestock Auction has come and gone. According to Honour Bowen, Administrative Office Manager for the Union County 4-H Extension Office, the auction brought in around $380,000 dollars by the end of the night from 28 buyers, many of them new to the fair. According to Bowen, one animal in particular became a hot bidding item due to its seller being a young boy currently in a battle with cancer.

The final amount will be somewhat as add-ons are continuing to be accepted through the end of the day today. For those that would like to organize an add-on, email auction staff at ucfauction@gmail.com.
