Union County Fair Junior Auction Raises $365,000 for Local Youth

LA GRANDE, Ore. — Community support was on full display at the Union County Fair Junior Auction as local businesses, organizations, and residents rallied together to raise an impressive $365,000 for 4-H and FFA members.

The event saw a packed auction barn, where 129 market animals raised by local youth were put up for sale. The strong turnout highlighted the community’s ongoing commitment to supporting agricultural education and youth development across Union County.

“It is rewarding to see these project animals being raised and consumed here,” said Ken Patterson, Union County Fair Auction Chair.

Members of the Auction Committee expressed deep gratitude to the buyers, sponsors, and attendees who filled the stands and made the evening a resounding success, ensuring a bright future for Union County’s young agricultural leaders.
