LA GRANDE — The Union County Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting at 9:00am on Wednesday, June 12, to discuss the Greater Idaho movement.
This meeting is to comply with Ballot Measure 31-101, also known as the Greater Idaho measure.
Approved by Union County voters in 2020, this measure mandates that the commissioners meet three times annually to discuss Union County’s potential incorporation into Idaho. Union is one of 13 Oregon counties which have passed measures that mandates commissioners discuss the proposal.
Public comments will be accepted during the meeting.
Wednesday’s meeting will be the second of three scheduled for 2024 in accordance with Measure 31-101. It will take place in the conference room at the east end of the Joseph Building, located at 1106 K Ave., La Grande.
