UNION COUNTY – With the end of the year approaching, the Union County 4-H office is looking to recognize outstanding community members and organizations that help make 4-H what it is. Nominations are being accepted for two award categories, which will be discussed at the next General Leader Meeting at the Mt. Emily building at 5:30 p.m. on October 14. As written by Union County 4H in a recent post:
“Award Categories:
Meritorious Service Award
This award recognizes a person or business/organization for their exceptional commitment and service to 4-H. These are the behind-the-scenes supporters who help make our program successful through their time, resources, or dedication.
Leader of the Year Award
Do you know a 4-H leader who goes above and beyond to make your experience meaningful and memorable? This award celebrates those outstanding leaders whose dedication makes a real difference in the lives of our members.”
Nominations can be submitted to unionco4h@gmail.com and should include the name of the individual or organization, the award they’re being nominated for, and a brief summary explaining why they deserve the award. The deadline to submit is October 14th at 5:30 p.m.
