Umatilla School District offering free backpacks for students

UMATILLA – Thanks to donation from retail store Costco, the Umatilla School District has free backpacks available for students.

The backpacks are available in sizes for elementary, middle, and high school students, and will remain available as long as supplies last.

They can be picked up from the Umatilla School District office during their regular office hours.

“We are so fortunate to have that level of support from Costco,” said Umatilla School District Superintendent Heidi Sipe.
