Most of the candidate races in Umatilla and Morrow counties were not challenged. There were, however, exceptions. Please remember these results are only preliminary. Oregon law now allows ballots that are postmarked election day (instead of in the possession of the Elections Division) to be counted.
UMATILLA COUNTY
Hermiston School District, Position 7
James Hurst has 60.23 percent of the vote to Nazario Rivera’s 39.26 percent.
Hermiston Cemetery District, Position 1
Kenneth Huber has 79.21 percent to 20.42 percent for Chris Caldarella
Pilot Rock School District, Position 5
Richard Hemphill has 53.97 percent of the vote to Jennifer Mespelt’s 46.03 percent.
Pilot Rock Park & Recreation District, Position 2
Ray Bacus has 51.93 percent to 48.07 percent for Rhonda Hinkle Lazinka
Ukiah School District, Position 3

Christy Lawhead has eight votes. Write in candidate Anthony Enriquez has six votes, write-in Vicky McLaughlin has two votes, and write-in candidates Melanie Burr and Wendy Eddy each have one vote.

Steve Warr has 50.95 percent to 48.42 percent for Veronica Gutierrez

Port of Morrow Commissioner, Position 4
Kelly Doherty has 53.37 percent while Marvin Padberg has 45.90 percent.
Port of Morrow Commissioner, Position 5
John Murray has 45.53 percent, David J. Boor has 35.35 percent, Wes Killion has 10.35 percent, and Jonathan Tallman has 8.55 percent.
Morrow County Health District Director, Position 5
Stephen L. Munkers has 52.69 percent to 45.62 percent for Ana Pineyro
Boardman Cemetery District Director at large George Shimer has 57.35 percent to 42.65 percent for Brenda Connell
