Umatilla Marina to undergo drilling

UMATILLA – A barge operating in the Umatilla Marina will be working between March 16 to March 31. Crews on a barge are conducting geotechnical drilling and core sampling collection.
The work is being completed in partnership with a grant from the Oregon State Marine Board. City officials say it is an important step in the city’s long-term efforts to plan for the future replacement of the marina.
“During this time, please use extra caution around the work area and follow any posted guidance from the crew,” a media advisory from the city states.
