UMATILLA – A Umatilla man was cited for DUI after rolling a car he was driving on Hat Rock Road near U.S. 730 Sunday near Umatilla.
According to Oregon State Police they responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover crash at around 6:06 a.m. A Toyota Carolla driven by 21-year-old Heriberto Prado Pizana Jr. was southbound on Hat Rock Road when he lost control on a curve and the vehicle rolled multiple times.
Pizana denied medical treatment and displayed indicators of impairment. He consented to field sobriety tests and further indicators of impairment were observed. He was arrested and transported to the Umatilla Police Department where he provided a breath sample of 0.09 percent blood alcohol content.
Pizana was cited for DUI, reckless driving and reckless endangering person for a passenger in the car.
The OSP report did not specifically state whether or not the passenger received medical treatment.
