Umatilla County lowers evacuation levels for Battle Mountain Complex Fire

UMATILLA COUNTY – (August 3, 2024) Following this morning’s briefing on the Battle Mountain Complex Fire, the evacuation levels have changed.

Downgraded to Level 2 (Be Set-Yellow):

Zone: UMC-325

North of the Umatilla/Grant County line, East of Highway 395, South where Soap Hill Road transitions into Forest Road 52, West of Trough Creek (this includes the Bridge Creek State Wildlife Area).

Downgraded to Level 1 (Be Ready – Green):

Zone: UMC-327

The entire bottom southeast corner of Umatilla County, including the area of Double Snag and Upper Winom area

All Other Levels Remain the Same:

Level 3 (Go Now – Red):

Zones: UMC-307, UMC-311, UMC-323,

North of the Umatilla County/Grant County boundary, East of the Umatilla/ Morrow County boundary, South of Forest Road 53, West of Highway 395.

Level 2 (Be Set – Yellow):

Zones: UMC-309

North of Forest Road 53, East of the Umatilla County/Morrow County boundary, South of Road 241, and West of Highway 395

Level 1 (Be Ready – Green):

Zone: UMC-319

The Soap Hill area south of the City of Ukiah, on the east side of Highway 395 for five miles, and down to FS Road 52
