Umatilla County fire leadership meets today to discuss improvements

UMATILLA COUNTY(News release from the Umatilla County Office of Emergency Management) Fire defense boards, fire chiefs, and elected leaders from across Umatilla County are coming together to discuss the current state of fire and EMS services and explore ways to improve coordination and resource-sharing.

The ‘Stronger Together’ initiative is an opportunity for fire and EMS leaders to evaluate challenges, share perspectives, and identify areas for potential improvement.

The discussion will focus on how agencies work together, mutual aid agreements, staffing and training needs, and long-term sustainability of fire and EMS services in the county. While no decisions will be made at this session, it serves as an important step in understanding how services can be strengthened to better support local communities.

This meeting is intended for fire service leaders, fire defense boards, and elected officials who play a role in shaping fire and EMS services in Umatilla County.
