UCSO: Someone stole valuable wine from Milton-Freewater area home

MILTON-FREEWATER – The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that includes the theft of over 300 bottles of expensive wine. The burglary, which happened in the Milton-Freewater area, was discovered and reported on Saturday.

The wine was taken from the in-home cellar of a residence that’s currently for sale. The estimated value of the stolen wine is around $25,000.

UCSO Capt. Sterrin Ward said the investigation is ongoing. The address of the residence is not being released currently.

“We don’t want to advertise the location and incite further incidents,” Ward said.
