UNION COUNTY – The Union County Sheriff’s Office is seeking volunteers to help with cleanup in the Frog Ponds area near US Forest Service Road 3120. Various burnt-out/vandalized vehicles and assorted trash and debris currently litter the area. According to the Sheriff’s Office, charges are pending for the people responsible for the mess.
Cleanup is scheduled for the morning of Friday, June 14 at the ponds. Volunteers are asked to bring their own tools, gloves and “energy.” Additional equipment has been donated by local businesses to assist with the cleanup.
