PENDLETON – Umatilla County Sheriff’s Deputy Travis McMasters now has two arrests under his belt from an identity theft case he’s been working. It involves credit cards that were stolen from a mailbox in Umatilla County.
Saturday afternoon, Pendleton police had detained Alexandre Grimaud, 39, of Pendleton on a separate case and tipped McMasters that he was in custody. McMasters responded and took Grimaud into custody.
The suspect is charged with two counts of identity theft, two counts of first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, two counts of fraud by credit card, one count of third-degree theft, and theft of lost or mislaid property.
UCSO Capt. Sterrin Ward said the arrest of Gracie Marie Jones, 18, of Ukiah on March 19 is related to the case against Grimaud, She was charged with identity theft and fraud by credit card.
