UCSO investigating theft of portable generators in Milton-Freewater

MILTON-FREEWATER – The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of five portable generators over the weekend from the Milton-Freewater Pioneer Posse Grounds, 84581 OR-11.
UCSO Capt. Sterrin Ward said dispatch received a call around 8 a.m. reporting the generators were taken from the grounds where the Milton-Freewater Junior Show and Sale was being held.
A deputy responded and took a report. Deputies are actively investigating the case, including witness reports of suspicious vehicles driving slowly through the area early Saturday morning. The grounds and generators were unsecured at the time of the theft.
