UCo Health adds email notices for vaccine clinics

PENDLETON – The Umatilla County Public Health Department is working to get information about COVID-19 vaccination or testing events to the public. A new page on the U-Co Health website is called COVID Events.

Director Joseph Fiumara said those events are not limited to ones operated by the health department. Other healthcare groups are welcome to have their events listed.

The page also works to answer a common question: When can I get a shot?

“There’s a link on that page that lets individuals who want to receive email alerts when it becomes different phases in the COVID vaccinations,” Fiumara said. “They can sign up for that.”

Fiumara said that the registration form asks the category of the person filing.

“We do ask for a couple of other pieces of information,” he said. “What city they live in and what city they’re willing to travel to for vaccination. We’re hoping all of that helps us inform where we set up these events in the future.”
