U.S. 20 Improvement Under Way

U.S. 20 is a main east-west route for oversized freight traffic through central and eastern Oregon, especially when I-84 is closed or restricted due to weather events, crashes, or construction. Extremely large loads not allowed on the freeway also use parts of U.S. 20 as an alternate route. ODOT is currently planning improvements on Highway 20 and OR201 between Riley and Ontario. Intersection safety upgrades include a proposed roundabout on OR201 at Cairo Junction, south of Ontario. For more information, visit the ODOT website.
