BAKER CITY – The Baker City Police Department with assistance from the Baker County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of domestic violence between and 31-year-old Tyler Joseph Anders and an unnamed victim.
According to reports, the victim and Anders had been in a relationship in the past. When officers arrived at the victim’s residence Tyler was located upstairs but would not come out and talk to police. There was about a 20-to-30-minute standoff between Anders and Law Enforcement before he agreed to surrender to police.
Anders was taken into custody without incident on charges of Assault IV Domestic, Strangulation, Menacing and Criminal Mischief. Anders is currently housed in the Baker County Jail.
