WALLOWA COUNTY – (Release from ODFW) Update on Wildcat Pack lethal removal authorization.
Two wolves from the Wildcat Pack have been lethally removed by USDA Wildlife Service in response to chronic depredation of livestock. The wolves (a 2-year-old male and a yearling male) were removed August 31 on the private forest allotment of one of the producers impacted, per the terms of the permit. Now that the two wolves have been removed, the two permits issued for this pack are no longer in effect.
