HAINES — On the afternoon of Saturday, March 8th, multiple fire agencies responded to a structure fire on John Street in Haines. Baker Rural Fire reports their agency provided assistance to the Haines Fire District on the fire that was said to be “quickly spreading” when resources arrived on scene.
The agency noted, “Crews performed an initial attack and provided structure protection to nearby residences. Ultimately, two structures were destroyed in the fire. No injuries were reported.”
Keating Rural Fire Protection provided additional response to the incident, as did Oregon State Police and the Baker County Sheriff’s Office.
