PENDLETON – Pendleton police have found the two additional suspects they were seeking in a kidnapping, assault, and robbery case that occurred last month. Tyler Schachtsick of Pendleton and Whitney Anderson of Pendleton were arrested on March 30.
A Umatilla County grand jury issued a secret indictment also charging Anthony Len Haigh, 26, with a last known address in Stanfield and Deva Lorraine Marthaller, 25, of Pendleton. PPD issued a bulletin to area law enforcement regarding the two suspects who remained at large.
Walla Walla Police Department detectives developed leads to the location of Haigh and Marthaller. They identified both suspects as guests at the Travel Lodge there. The two were taken into custody without incident Wednesday afternoon.
Both are lodged at Walla Walla County Jail on warrants from Umatilla County. The Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office is beginning the extradition process. Charges against the suspects include first-degree robbery, second-degree kidnapping, and first-degree theft. There are a total of 10 counts against Haigh and seven counts involving Marthaller.
