BAKER COUNTY — The Baker County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) says two dogs that were missing after being abandoned near Tipton Summit have been found safe.
“They were located by a dedicated volunteer who had been to the area several times searching for them, said Ashley McClay, spokesperson for the BCSO. “Deputy Rosin responded to assist.”
The two dogs were part of a group of five canines that were abandoned off Highway 7 on Friday, May 3.
The other three dogs had been found previously and are also safe.
The Sheriff’s Office said earlier that a suspect had been identified, but that the investigation into the case continues.
McClay says she expects to release more information about the case by Friday, May 10.
