Two La Grande transients arrested in storage unit burglary case

LA GRANDE — Two people face multiple charges following a reported burglary at Bearco Loop Storage in La Grande.

Sean Robert Stellings, 29, and Bethany Sara Cruikshank, 37, both of La Grande, were taken into custody on July 5 by La Grande police officers. Stellings faces charges including two counts of Burglary II, Theft III, Theft of Services, and Criminal Conspiracy. Cruikshank has been charged with Burglary II, Theft III, Theft of Services, and Criminal Conspiracy.

According to police, Stellings and Cruikshank, who are in a relationship and identified as transients, were discovered trespassing at Bearco Loop Storage. 

The pair had been staying in one of the storage sheds without authorization and were found stealing items, including light bulbs, from other storage units to make their makeshift living space more comfortable.
