TACOMA – A total of 27 people have been indicted by a federal grand jury for drug trafficking, and many of those in the indictment are tied to the Aryan Family, a white-supremacist prison gang, U.S. Attorney Nick Brown announced Monday. Over a five-day period, 24 of the defendants were arrested in Washington and Arizona, including two in Walla Walla County.

Dana Hanson, 57, and Justin Hanson, 48, both of Burbank, are among the defendants who have been indicted by the grand jury. They are in federal custody.

Also in federal custody is the alleged leader of the drug trafficking organization, Jesse James Bailey. He is an influential member of the Aryan Family prison gang. Bailey is alleged to have trafficked huge amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other drugs in Washington, Idaho, and Alaska. Bailey and many other defendants had scheduled detention hearings in Tacoma Monday.
