Two Baker City men cited on drug violations

BAKER COUNTY – Oregon State Police in Baker County conducted a traffic stop on Campbell St and 3^rd Street in Baker City earlier this week that ended in arrests. According to the OSP Officer, multiple signs of impairment were observed, and the driver consented to a Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST). The driver, 21-year-old Gage Michael Niehaus of Baker City performed poorly during the SFST and was subsequently arrested for DUII.

A search of the vehicle yielded meth (violation).

The passenger, 23-year-old Sean Michael Dethloff of Baker City, consented to a search and meth (violation) was seized.

Niehaus was transported to the Baker County Jail; providing a breath BAC sample of .00%, a urine sample and refused a DRE. He was cited for DUII-CS (controlled substance), DWS-Violation (Driving while Suspended), and PCS-Meth (Possession of a Controlled Substance).

Dethloff was cited for PCS-Meth (Violation).
