Two arrested in John Day in separate theft incidents

JOHN DAY – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office conducted a couple of arrests on Tuesday in separate incidents. At approximately 11:29 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office assisted Parole and Probation with a search. Jacob Michael Derosier, 37, of John Day was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle. Nothing further was released on that incident.

Then, shortly thereafter, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a theft at a local supermarket. Grant County Emergency Communications lists that Jared Baker, (born in 1995) of John Day, was arrested as a result.
