EASTERN OREGON – Summer is closing in, academic calendars are getting smaller, and school activities and athletics are starting to wind down. For a small but highly dedicated group of young animal enthusiasts, this coming week marks the biggest event of the season. The Oregon High School Equestrian teams (OHSET) are gearing up for the state meet on Thursday, May 7, and an impressive list of Eastern Oregon students will be in attendance.
Specifically, the following students (organized by school) from the Blue Mountain District have officially qualified for state as of the latest regional meet in Hermiston. Congratulations to:
Cove HS
Elgin HS
Hermiston HS
La Grande HS
Pendleton HS
Pine Eagle HS
Congratulations to all equestrian athletes! The 2026 state meet runs from May 7-10 at the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center in Redmond.
