Truckers convoy to make their way through La Grande tomorrow, March 2

LA GRANDE – As part of a nationwide protest, a trucker’s convoy, mixed with semi-trucks as well as passenger vehicles, is making its way across the country protesting mandates related to COVID-19.

The convoy set out today from Troutdale, Oregon on their way to Washington D.C.  The group is expected to make their way through Union and Baker Counties tomorrow morning on their way through to Boise and beyond. 

One social media group supporting this movement is the Union County Freedom Alliance which reports that the convoy will be coming through La Grande on Wednesday, March 2 around 8:45 am to 9:00 am. 

Some local citizens plan to show their support for the convoy by flying flags and waving as the convoy passes through the La Grande area heading into Ladd Canyon.
