MISSION – The Pendleton City Council and the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation Board of Trustees are holding a joint meeting today (Wednesday) at 10:30 a.m. The session will be held via Zoom. The CTUIR is hosting this meeting. The next one, at a date to be announced later, will be hosted by the city of Pendleton.
The first item on the agenda is preparing for possible floods this spring. The council and BOT will also discuss upcoming events for the city of Pendleton including Round-Up, hear updates on housing projects, and discuss the CTUIR and city response to COVID-19. A discussion about the Vert collection of artifacts is also on the agenda.
The CTUIR contingent includes BOT Chairwoman Kat Brigham, Sandra Sampson, Sally Kosey, Lindsey Watchman, Jill-Marie Gavin, Boots Pond, Cor Sams, and General Council Chairman Armand Minthorn. The city group includes Mayor John Turner; and councilors Kevin Martin, Carol Innes, Sally Brandsen, McKennon McDonald, Linda Newman, Jake Cambier and Steve Campbell. Councilman Dale Primmer is unable to attend. Staff members from both governments will be present as well.
