Trials set for two Oregon residents arrested at College Place Walmart

WALLA WALLA – Two people arrested Feb. 25 at the College Place Walmart were arraigned Monday in Walla Walla County Superior Court.

Mistie Dawn Cooper, 45, of Redmond, Oregon, pleaded not guilty to charges of drug possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl. Her trial is set for June 9.

Nathanael James Young, 44, of Estacada, also pleaded not guilty to charges of drug possession with the intent to deliver.

In Young’s case, the state also said it intends to file an organized retail theft charge. Prosecutors stated at Young’s court appearance following his arrest, that he’s suspected of having stolen more than $150,000 in jewelry from Walmart stores across Washington and Oregon, including Hermiston and Hood River. Young’s trial is scheduled for April 28.
