Trial set for WW man arrested for alleged child pornography crimes

WALLA WALLA – Richard Eugene Price, 76, of Walla Walla entered a not guilty plea Monday afternoon in Walla Walla County Superior Court to charges of dealing, possessing, and viewing child pornography. His trial is scheduled to begin Sept. 24.
Price was arrested at his apartment last month following cyber tips made by Yahoo and Google last October and December.
Three previously reported cyber tips were later associated to Price, the first one dating back to 2017. According to court documents, when a search warrant was executed, Price admitted to police that he had possession of child sexual abuse materials on his electronic devices in his residence. He denied committing any offenses against children in real life.
Price has been ordered to house arrest over the state’s objections.
