WALLA WALLA – The trial for Charles Thompkins Jr., 66, of Pendleton, has once again been continued. The new date is now set for Jan. 27, 2025, in Walla Walla County Superior Court. He faces multiple charges for his alleged involvement in organizing a July 2021 group attack in Walla Walla.

According to court documents, the group attack was allegedly organized against a group of people Thompkins claimed stole a vehicle from him.

“They had the vehicle, but there’s no consensus whether it was his vehicle at the time,” Walla Walla County Prosecuting Attorney Gabe Acosta said.

Several co-defendants also arrested in the group attack have trials continued to next year.
