WALLA WALLA – Three people arrested earlier this month in College Place in connection to an alleged kidnapping case entered not guilty pleas Monday.

Walla Walla County Superior Court Judge Scott Wolfram set a trial date of Tuesday, Oct. 12 for Billy Jo R. Dynes, 27, of College Place, Arthur R. Waldon, 31, of Prescott, and Brian J. Rosenkranz, 42, of Coeur d’Alene. All three are charged with two counts of first-degree kidnapping, two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of first-degree harassment. All are felonies.

On Tuesday, the court reduced Waldon’s bail to $5,000 or $500 cash. He was also ordered to electronic home monitoring, according to Walla Walla County Prosecuting Attorney Jim Nagle. Dynes and Rosenkranz are currently being held in the Walla Walla County Jail. Their bail is set at $200,000.

The trio allegedly committed crimes against a 28-year-old man and his 32-year-old girlfriend on the night of July 27 and then abandoned them near Prescott. The alleged assault and threats made against the victims were reported to have stemmed from a debt the female victim owed.
