LA GRANDE – (Information provided by the City of La Grande)

The City of La Grande has been a Tree City USA since 1990. Our awesome trees make La Grande a vibrant, beautiful place to live. Cleaner air and water, cooler streets and homes, wildlife habitat, increased property values, and energy savings are just a few of the benefits trees provide. One of the goals for our community forest is to plant 100 trees every year and you can help. The Urban Forestry Division is accepting requests for trees to be planted in City right-of-ways (near the street).  The City Arborist will work with you to select the tree most suitable for your planting space.  Your cost is $40 per tree. You may plant the tree yourself, with direction from the City Arborist, or you may request that volunteers plant it for you. Please contact the Urban Forestry Division at trees@cityoflagrande.org<mailto:trees@cityoflagrande.org>  or call (541) 663-1952 to request your tree.
