VALE – The Vale District Land Management is reminding everyone that a travel warning is still in effect for Birch Creek Road/Forest Service Road 7333 due to erosion damage. Please see the full alert below:

TRAVEL WARNING Birch Creek Road is WASHED OUT
Spring erosion has damaged parts of Birch Creek Road between the gate and Birch Creek Takeout on the Owyhee River in Malheur County, Ore., making it extremely hazardous. ONLY HIGH CLEARANCE 4-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES SHOULD BE USED.
The next takeout is 17 miles downstream at Leslie Gulch. It is 4 miles from the Birch Creek Takeout to slack water, where motors and tows are allowed.
