JOHN DAY – Lilly Lawson with the In Our Backyard program against human trafficking was recently on KJDY’s Coffee Time. She highlighted a program they sponsor that focuses on training convenience store employees to spot and report human trafficking activities:

“The reason that program came about, is, because of course when a victim is taken from the hands of traffickers, there are a lot of interviews and a whole process that they go through. They’re learning from those victims that they are taken to convenience stores multiple times in one day.”

The program is free and available to any convenience store. Anyone interested can learn more at InOurBackyard.org.
