JOHN DAY – The Blue Mountain Hospital District recently shared that their latest group of 5 trainees are closer to becoming EMTs. The district’s EMT training course recently wrapped up. The hospital reports that after completing the course, each student will take the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) exam before applying for their Oregon EMT license. EMS Director Rebekah Rand taught the course.
BMHD officials stated, “We’re proud of the hard work and commitment these students have shown. They represent the next generation of emergency responders in Oregon. And a special thank you to Rebekah Rand for teaching this class!”
The advanced EMT (AEMT) course will begin later this spring in partnership with Blue Mountain Co0mmunity College.
