Traffic stop on I-84 leads to arrests on multiple drug related charges

BAKER COUNTY – Oregon State Police (OSP) in Baker County conducted a traffic stop recently along I-84 at milepost 347, west of Farewell Bend.  The stop, which was for a speed violation, resulted in arrests on multiple drug-related charges. 

According to reports from OSP, an investigation after the traffic stop revealed that the driver had imported cannabis into Oregon from Nevada.  Written consent was denied and a probable cause search of the vehicle revealed: Cannabis, Molly, MDMA, Psilocybin Mushrooms, LSD, & Ketamine. 

The driver, 28-year-old Anthony David White, had multiple convictions and was arrested by citation for the following.

Delivery of MDMA (Ecstasy) 

Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) – 1 g or More or 5 or More User Units

Possession of LSD – < 40 User Units (Referred to DA for consideration) 

Possession of Psilocybin – <12g (Referred to DA for consideration)

Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance (Referred to DA for consideration)

The passenger, 25-year-old Andrea Peral Talas was issued citations for the following.

Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) – <1 g or < 5 User Units

Possession of Psilocybin – <12g
