BOARDMAN – The Oregon Department of Transportation has changed the closure schedule for the Tower Road bridge over Interstate 84 at Exit 159.

The northbound closure of Tower Road over the interstate begins today (Tuesday) and will continue through June 2. The southbound closure will follow June 3 through June 10.

Only the Tower Road bridge will close during the above times. All ramps at Exit 159 and Tower Road south of the eastbound offramp will remain open. There will be advance warning signs and detours will be posted.

Then, from June 11 through July 9, there will be a full closure of the bridge. Love’s Truck Stop will remain accessible for eastbound and westbound travelers using the detour. Eastbound traffic will be able to access Love’s from Exit 159. Westbound traffic should take Exit 151/Marty Myers Road, continue east on I-84, and take Exit 159/Tower Road. To return westbound on I-84, take Exit 159 eastbound to Exit 165/Port of Morrow and use the westbound I-84 onramp.

Through the month of July, crews will complete paving, striping and sign installation. There could be occasional nighttime ramp and Tower Road overpass lane closures.
