PRAIRIE CITY – The top-seeded Prairie City Panthers 6-man football team are anxiously waiting to see who their competition will be in the quarterfinal round of the state championship. The Panthers will host that one on November 10th, and it will be against the winner of tomorrow’s game between North Lake and Triangle Lake. Coach Nick Thompson said he and the guys will be traveling to watch that game, and scope out the competition:
“North Lake is the home team, so Triangle Lake gets to travel there. We had a bye this week, so we’re going to take this opportunity to practice traveling a little bit. There’s no reason to not practice the little things. Traveling is a big one, you know? A three-and-a-half-hour bus ride, and we’ll go and watch that game. Kind of get a feel for things.”
Those in attendance for the November 10th game in Prairie City will get to enjoy the new big screen scoreboard recently installed.
