Tiffnie Schmadeka named as next Dayville School District Superintendent

DAYVILLE – (Press Release from Dayville School District)

The Dayville School District Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Tiffnie Schmadeka as the next Superintendent of the Dayville School District, effective July 1, 2025.

Ms. Schmadeka is a longtime educator and leader within the Dayville community. Over the years, she has served the district as a teacher, coach, and athletic director, consistently demonstrating her dedication to students, families, and the broader community. A lifelong resident of Grant County, she brings a deep understanding of the district’s values and culture, along with strong local ties that will serve the district well as it looks toward the future.

“We are proud to name Tiffnie Schmadeka as Superintendent for the 2025-2026 school year,” said Casey Fretweller, Dayville School Board Chair. “Tiffnie currently serves as our math and special education teacher, in addition to her role as athletic director. She will succeed Interim Superintendent Larry Glaze this July, and we are confident she will bring strong leadership and a deep commitment to the community.”

Larry Glaze, who has served as Interim Superintendent during the 2024-2025 school year, expressed strong support for Schmadeka’s appointment.

“Dayville School District needs stable, committed leadership for the long term,” said Glaze. “Tiffnie is an excellent choice to guide the district forward, and I’m confident she will continue to serve with integrity and dedication.”

Robert Waltenburg, Superintendent of the Grant County Education Service District, echoed this sentiment:

“I’m thrilled to see Tiffnie selected as the next superintendent. She is a trusted leader, a passionate advocate for students, and someone deeply rooted in our community. Her experience, commitment, and vision make her the ideal person to lead Dayville Schools into the future.”

In accepting the role, Ms. Schmadeka shared her enthusiasm for the opportunity:

“Growing up in Dayville, this community has always held a special place in my heart. It’s an honor to step into the role of Superintendent and Principal. I look forward to serving the students, staff, and families of this district with my full dedication and effort.”
