Three out of four Conditional Use Permits approved

LA GRANDE – The City of La Grande Planning Commission approved three out of four Conditional Use Permits on the operation of Air Bed and Breakfast within the city limits of La Grande.
The 3 approved are at 2807 N. Greenwood Street (applicant – Steve and Sarah Young), 112 S. 12th Street (applicant – Jakey Starmer), and 104 20th Street (applicant – Alma Crow).
The Air B n B that was denied was located at 1420 Z Avenue, applicant – Melinda Wells. This property currently has one Air B n B approved and operating. The applicant was asking the commission to expand the permit to allow for a second Air B n B on the property which would have been located in an accessory dwelling at the rear of the property. The request for the expansion and 2nd Air B n B was denied.
It is unknown when the approved B n B’s will be up and running.
