CLE ELUM – Two adults and a child were killed in a crash with a semi-truck Thursday morning on Interstate 90 at milepost 63, 10 miles east of Snoqualmie Pass.

The Washington State Patrol reports the driver of the semi-truck, Danny R. Ellingford, 43, of Pasco, was traveling westbound when he went off the roadway, crossed the media into the eastbound lanes and struck a 2016 KIA Optima sedan.

Justin L. Poole, 40, and Michaela L. Buckholt, 27, along with a 10-year-old child, all from Yakima, were killed in the collision. A 36-year-old woman and six-year-old child, also from Yakima, were injured. The woman was transported the Kittitas Valley Hospital, the child to Harborview Medical Center.

Troopers said Ellingford was not injured, but that charges against him are pending. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
