BAKER & WALLOWA COUNTIES – ODFW has confirmed additional wolf depredations in Baker and Wallowa Counties. In total, three calves were killed in three separate incidents.
The first two incidents occurred in Baker County in the Balm Creek area on private land and were originally investigated on October 9. The two separate attacks resulted in the deaths of 2 eight-month-old calves. These incidents have been attributed to the Black Pines Pack.
The third incident occurred in Wallowa County in the Grouse Flats area, also on private land, and was originally investigated on October 10. The attack resulted in the death of a single seven-month-old calf. The incident has been attributed to the Grouse Flats Pack.
