Third kidnapping suspect awaits arraignment

WALLA WALLA – Sierra Renee Uribe Clay, 25, of Walla Walla is now in Walla Walla County Jail after being arrested last week on charges related to the kidnapping and beating of a woman in Walla Walla in January. Prosecuting Attorney Jim Nagle said that Uribe Clay will be arraigned on the kidnapping case as well as a 2019 narcotics and firearms case in Walla Walla County Superior Court on Sept. 21.

The suspect’s bail is set at $30,000 on the kidnapping case. Her pretrial release on last year’s case has been revoked. She is charged with first-degree kidnapping, complicity to first-degree robbery, complicity to second-degree assault, and intimidating a witness.

Two others have already been convicted in the kidnapping case. Court documents indicate that Uribe Clay grabbed a woman and took her into a home on Chestnut Street where she was beaten by another woman. The victim managed to flee and was treated for a cracked rib and blurred vision.

The 2019 charges against Uribe Clay include possession and intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver heroin, and possession of a stolen firearm.
