The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree will make a stop in Baker City on November 8

BAKER CITY— The U.S. Capitol Christmas tree is coming to Baker City. The Whistlestop Tour kicks off on Oct. 30, traveling by sea from Alaska through the “Lower 48” and then by truck across the country to the eastern seaboard, with a stop along the way in Baker City. This will be the only Oregon Stop on the tour, which includes a total of 11 Whistlestops arriving at its final destination in Washington, D.C.

According to https://www.uscapitolchristmastree.com/, “Every year, a different national forest is selected to provide a tree to appear on the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol building for the holiday season. The 2024 tree will be coming from Alaska’s National Forests!”
