EASTERN OREGON – School districts throughout the region are staging Christmas concerts beginning this week. InterMountain Education Service District Superintendent Mark Mulvihill says you don’t have to have a child up on stage to enjoy the events.
“It can’t help but melt your heart when you see those kindergartners out there with their antlers on singing, ‘Rudolph,’” he said.
As parents know, children grow. Mulvihill said that if slightly-off-key kindergarten students don’t appeal, people should check out the older musical groups.
“As the kids get older in middle school and high school, they’re incredibly talented,” he said. “The choir events, the band events going on in all our communities at the high school level are really, really outstanding. It’s great entertainment.”
To find out when holiday programs are happening, check the calendar on the school’s website or call.
