LA GRANDE – The Polar Express is not coming to La Grande. The Facebook Event circulating is a SCAM!
This week an event was created by someone on Facebook showing that a Polar Express Train based out of Wisconsin will be coming to La Grande December 1-3, 2023. The sad reality however is that this event post is a scam.
After concern was brought to our attention regarding the legitimacy of this event, Elkhorn Media Group reached out to the group Friends of 261 which runs the real Polar Express Train in Wisconsin and confirmed that the event post is a scam and that they will not be holding an event in Oregon.
The event appears to have been created by a bot account.
