The Nyssa Nite Rodeo, in its 80th year, needs a new location

NYSSA — The Nyssa Nite Rodeo is searching for a for a different venue to hold their 80th rodeo event this year. According to an email that was made public through social media, the Owyhee Riding Club Board of Directors provided formal notice that the club will not pursue or enter into a contract with the Nyssa Night Rodeo in 2026 for the use of the rodeo grounds.
The Owyhee Riding Club informed Nyssa Nite Rodeo personnel, “The Club must ensure that its resources are allocated in a manner that appropriately supports its mission, membership, and long-term sustainability.”
The decision to discontinue the Nyssa Night Rodeo at the Owyhee Riding Club’s Rodeo grounds is “final and not subject to further negotiation or consideration.”
