MORROW COUNTY – Ribbon-cutting ceremonies are planned to celebrate the public transit fixed-route service in Morrow County Monday. Loop Supervisor Patrick Keely of Morrow County Public Transit says the public is welcome.
The first ceremony will be at 9 a.m. at Heppner City Park. The second will be at 3 p.m. in front of Boardman City Hall.
The Loop’s goal is to provide all residents of Morrow County with safe, caring, and reliable transportation services. Ridership is available to all county residents including veterans, senior citizens, the disabled, and those with limited or no transportation available to them.
There are currently three routes available. They are called the red (Boardman to Port of Morrow circular), blue (Boardman to Heppner), and green (Heppner to Boardman) routes but they will soon have official names.
