The Annual Elkhorn Media Group/Les Schwab Toy Drive in Union County hopes to help 180 kids this Christmas

UNION COUNTY -In 2023 the Annual Elkhorn Media Group/Les Schwab Tire Center Toy Drive provided Christmas gifts to over 150 kids in Union County.  This year organizers hope to increase those numbers to 180 kids.

Now through December 16^th citizens are encouraged to drop off a new, unwrapped toy for a child ages 1-18 at

•Les Schwab Tire Center in La Grande

•Carpet One Floor and Home in La Grande

•Ed Staub and Sons in Island City

Shannon Weidemann, News Director with Elkhorn Media Group and co-organizer of this annual event says that having multiple locations shows what great community partners we have and is helpful for citizens looking to donate. This is one of my favorite events of the year, just knowing that we are helping kids in need warms my heart.

Tori Gandy, Sales Manager with Elkhorn Media Group and co-organizer of this annual event says “We couldn’t do this event without collaboration with Les Schwab and involvement from Carpet One Floor and Home and Ed Staub and Sons, they have been an integral part of this year after year, and we thank for them being a part of this great event. 

This year Les Schwab will be holding a donation event.  On December 4^th from 4 pm to 6 pm, stop by Les Schwab Tire Center in La Grande, drop off a donation and you will be entered to win a book of carwashes from Island Express Lube and Car Wash or a detail from The Other Guys Auto Sales.
